Romania Introduces Visa Regime for SCG Citizens
|
The General Consul of the Romanian Embassy in Belgrade, Julijan German, said for Dnevnik daily that, starting on July 1, Rumania will introduce a unilateral visa regime for all citizens of Serbia and Montenegro. German said that the visa regime is a result of a failure to achieve bilateral agreement between the two countries.
German added that a Romanian delegation visited Belgrade in mid-April, with authorization to discuss the issue of a possible bilateral agreement with the SCG Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No agreement was reached on that occasion, although the proposed agreement remains “on the table.” At the beginning, 10-day visas will be issued on the border-crossing points. |
