Graphic Story Competition for Young Comics Authors

Under the auspices of the Days of European Cultural Heritage � with �Water� as its central subject theme � the civic association �Dobro Drvo� opens the Graphic Story Competition for Young Authors. The entrants can not be older than 30 years and should send their works from August 20 to September 20, 2004. The subject theme of the entries should be �Centuries of Culture on the Banks of the Danube River�.

Terms and propositions:

The format and the technique of work are left to the personal preferences and choice of the author;
The Story: in accordance with their personal preferences, affinities and knowledge of history, the participants should select a story, cultural or historic monument, an object created on the banks of the Danube and represents the cultural heritage of the nations that lived/live on the river;
The story should not be longer than 3-5 pages;
Only original tables sent by mail will be accepted (not returned), with a possibility to send electronic versions by e-mail.

After the end of the competition, an exhibition of submitted works will be organized, with printed catalogue of works. Three prizes will be awarded:

For a complete story and original visual and textual expression 100 EUR will be awarded.

For best drawing technique 75 EUR will be awarded

For best story 50 EUR will be awarded.
