The Second De-Mining Project on Trebevic Mountain Starts

The de-mining operation on Trebevic continues.
|
Italian humanitarian organization INTERSOS completed the first project for de-mining of the Bob-Sleigh Track on Trebevic Mountain and immediately started cleaning another location on the mountain.
The report submitted by INTERSOS to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, states that 91 land-mines and 30 pieces of different unexploded ordnance were eliminated from a total of 35,000 square metres. The certificate for cleared area was issued by Mine Action Centre B&H.
The projects for de-mining of the Bob-sleigh Track on Trebevic shouls include the clearing of a total of 220,000 square metres of land.
The de-mining of the area is important both for the security of people who use the sports and recreation facilities on the mountain, but also for the start of reconstruction of private houses located in the area.
